If you put 18 carrots on a string, you would have an 18 karat necklace

I think if my sulking "no way I'm weeding this year" mood doesn't go away next year, I'm at least going to put the parts of the garden I don't have tomatoes into sunflowers and dill. Zinnias? Any suggestions for flowers or herbs good for butterflies & humming birds that can be left to hold their own against weeds but won't be a terror to combat when I return to gardening?

Thanks for asking.

It's become hard for me to garden and write at the same time. I maintain our 2 acre lot of ornamental plants, fruit trees, berries, bees, chickens. I care my community plot and my mom's garden. Pswew. I love it! Even on rainy days I'm out there. I need longer days!

I am also doing some writing for gardening books, one of my own and chapters and articles for others.

I keep trying to keep up regularly with this blog, but usually end up posting monthly with photos I've taken and notes I've jotted and saved.
